Congratulations to Ms. Saunders’ class for collecting the most Box Tops during the second quarter! This year the PTA is offering winning teachers a $25 gift card to the store of their choice. The PTA would like to thank all the students who brought in Box Tops during the second quarter. We appreciate your efforts and Ravensworth benefits from your hard work!
If you have extra Box Tops laying around, NOW is the time to turn them in! Our last submission of the school year is due March 1. Please remember to throw out any expired box tops before turning them in.

The PTA is holding a general membership meeting on Wednesday, February 20 from 2:30-3:00PM in the cafeteria. Come join us to get an update on all the latest happenings!  We also will have a $25 amazon gift card for a door prize!  Younger siblings are welcome!  Our last general membership meeting will be Wednesday, June 5 at 6:00PM.

The Book Swap is just around the corner. Our annual book swap will be held March 4-8. Please continue to send in your book donations! There is a collection box in the lobby. Each class will have a chance to browse the donated books and the students will be able to select one book to bring home.

We need your pictures! Do you have some great candids from your student’s classroom, event, or field trip? Please upload a few of your candids to the yearbook website. It is helpful if you write which class the kids are in the notes section. Photos featuring several kids are best!

You can upload them at community.lifetouch.com. Enter the picture upload code ZLTFGO in the lime green box on the right to upload your photos.

The school year is in full swing with lots of fun memories being made. Keep those memories by ordering a yearbook. Order deadline is February 22, 2019. Orders can be made by going to YBPAY.LIFETOUCH.COM today and using yearbook code 4882619.

Last May, Governor Northam approved HB-1 Scholastic records, prohibiting access to directory information, which establishes that “no school shall disclose the address, phone number, or email address of a student”. As a result, the PTA will no longer be printing a student directory. We are looking into online directory options.

School bus driving can be a rewarding career or a pathway to other opportunities within FCPS. It’s a perfect job for retirees, college students, career-switchers, parents, and grandparents. Please visit www.fcps.edu/busdrivers for details on how to become an FCPS School Bus Driver as well Benefits, Requirements, and Advancement Opportunities information. Click HERE to view the flyer.

We Couldn't Have Done It Without You!
PTA activities and initiatives could not succeed without the hard work of our volunteers. This Volunteer Shout Out goes to Sabrina Vant and Ursula Schuttinga. Thank you both for coordinating the annual Valentine Smencils Sale! The students love their Smencils and your hard work is greatly appreciated. Thank you as well to the volunteers who helped work the morning sales and kept everything running smoothly.
